The platform introduces Chat Missions, which place users in specific scenarios like ordering coffee in a Paris café or navigating a business meeting. These modules provide immediate feedback on phrasing and pronunciation, adapting to the learner's proficiency in real time to ensure the challenge remains relevant. This shift reflects a broader intent to transform language acquisition from an academic exercise into a practical life skill.

Beyond conversational simulation, the system offers over 500 topic-based flashcard sets per language, allowing users to curate vocabulary relevant to their specific interests, such as architecture or astronomy. The Sapphire Studio feature further enables learners to build custom study materials, including reading and writing activities tailored to their personal goals. While many competitors have pivoted toward fully automated experiences, Rosetta Stone retains live, one-on-one tutoring sessions, maintaining a human element in the learning cycle.

Paul Mishkin, CEO of IXL Learning, noted that the industry has long suffered from a lack of experiences that adapt to the learner and prepare them for genuine dialogue. With this release, the parent company seeks to consolidate its 30 years of research into a single, cohesive environment that supports users across 25 different languages.
