Faye Ann Brenner Named to Inner Circle of Excellence

Brenner’s transition into directing was forged through hands-on experience, serving as a script supervisor for industry titans including Sidney Lumet, Rob Reiner, and Ivan Reitman. She credits this period as her true film school, allowing her to master the technical and emotional nuances of storytelling. This foundation eventually led to high-profile projects, such as directing the 2022 episode of the television series The Rookie, titled Death Sentence.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Brenner leverages her background in vocal arts to influence her creative approach to visual media. Her current work includes post-production on a documentary titled Charting New Courses, which explores the experiences of women who sail. Beyond her creative output, she remains a fixture in the Directors Guild of America and the Alliance of Women Directors, where she actively mentors emerging talent and champions diversity within professional film production.
