The signature dish at the center of the celebration pairs half a crispy fried chicken with a Belgian waffle, finished with strawberry butter and a house-made sweet-and-spicy sauce.
Stanley Goodman, President and Chief Operating Officer, described the initiative as a way to honor the dish that has become the brand's culinary hallmark. Since its founding in Jacksonville in 1992, Metro Diner has expanded across the eastern United States, gaining national recognition through appearances on programs like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
