David and Maria Henrie Launch Faith-Based Children's Book

Best known for his role as Justin Russo on "Wizards of Waverly Place," David Henrie teamed up with Maria Henrie, a former Miss Delaware, to bridge the gap between bedtime stories and religious instruction. The book uses rhyming prose and illustrations by Adam Gustavson to guide children through inquiries about the world, ranging from mythical dragons to the cosmos, while anchoring each discovery in specific Scripture verses.

Designed for children aged three to seven, the project includes a free downloadable Bible study guide to encourage ongoing dialogue after the book is closed. David Henrie noted that the goal was to synthesize creative storytelling with spiritual formation, a task he found often treated as separate experiences for young families. The publisher, Ascension, expects the hardcover title to reach bookshelves on November 10, 2026, with preorders currently open.
