Pratt & Whitney Secures $1.3 Billion Contract for F-35 Engine Parts

The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity agreement covers fiscal year 2026 requirements, including depot lay-ins and deployable spare packages. Chris Johnson, vice president of the F135 program, stated that the funding is vital to maintaining the performance of the engine, which powers all three variants of the F-35 fighter. The sustainment network currently services 42 bases and 13 ships worldwide.

Pratt & Whitney has already delivered over 1,500 production engines to 20 allied nations. The company plans to utilize this existing logistics framework to roll out its forthcoming Engine Core Upgrade. By integrating this modernization solution into the current supply chain, the manufacturer aims to provide a cost-effective path for fleet sustainment over the coming decades.
