Cigna Group Revenue Climbs to $71.7 Billion in Second Quarter

Growth was driven by strong performances across both Evernorth Health Services and Cigna Healthcare. Shareholders' net income rose to $1.7 billion, or $6.29 per share, up from $1.5 billion in the same period last year. Adjusted income from operations reached $2.1 billion, or $7.78 per share, marking a 6% increase compared to the second quarter of 2025.

Brian C. Evanko, President and CEO of The Cigna Group, credited the results to the company’s strategic focus on integrating technology and AI to lower healthcare costs and improve patient access. While total pharmacy customers saw a planned decline to 118.2 million, medical customers grew by 2% to 18.4 million, bolstered by gains in middle and select markets. The company also maintained an active capital deployment strategy, repurchasing 0.9 million shares for roughly $250 million through July 29.
