Absolute Recomp Scales Its High-End Strength Model Nationally

For over a decade, the fitness industry has prioritized the casual member, leaving serious athletes to train in under-equipped facilities. Absolute Recomp, a nine-figure gym brand that emerged in Dallas-Fort Worth, is now challenging that status quo by taking its high-performance, premium-standard model to national markets.

Founded by Nabil Saeed in 2015, the brand has built five corporate locations in Texas, each costing between $10 million and $12 million. Unlike standard big-box gyms, these facilities house over 400 pieces of equipment, including specialized powerlifting platforms and dumbbells reaching 350 pounds. The aesthetic approach mirrors the heavy-duty functionality, featuring marble finishes and custom LED lighting designed to appeal to disciplined, long-term training enthusiasts.

Expansion is moving quickly, with new sites slated for Lombard, Illinois; Arlington, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; and Houston, Texas. The brand is attracting significant industry attention, drawing in heavy hitters like former Planet Fitness CEO Chris Rondeau, who joined as Partner and Chief Development Officer, and long-time franchisee Tim Kurtz, who now serves as President and Chief Experience Officer. Their involvement signals a shift in the market, as veterans move to support a concept that trades generic appeal for a dedicated, high-intensity user base. Despite interest from professional sports team owners and billionaires, the company remains selective about its franchise partnerships to protect its core identity.
