Goodyear Secures Top Environmental Rating for Supplier Climate Efforts

This recognition by the global environmental disclosure organization centers on Goodyear’s integration of climate-focused mandates into its procurement process. The company is actively working to address Scope 3 emissions while driving its broader sustainability strategy, which includes established science-based targets for 2030 and a goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.

Launched in 2023, the manufacturer's engagement program requires raw material suppliers to adopt renewable energy goals and publicly report their greenhouse gas footprints. By conducting impact analyses and building supplier-specific roadmaps, Goodyear aims to identify sustainability gaps and foster collaboration throughout its value chain. These initiatives support the company’s ongoing transition toward a low-carbon operational model across its 48 manufacturing facilities in 19 countries.
