BioArctic Reports 179 Million SEK Royalty on Leqembi Sales

Global sales of the Alzheimer’s drug Leqembi reached 29.3 billion yen during the second quarter of 2026, according to data released by partner Eisai. This performance generated 179 million SEK in royalties for Stockholm-based BioArctic, marking a 10 percent increase over the same period in the previous year.

The reported growth gains momentum when accounting for one-time inventory adjustments. During the second quarter of 2025, BioArctic’s figures were bolstered by a 5.3 billion yen stockpiling effect in the Chinese market. When excluding that specific impact, underlying royalty revenues for the current quarter demonstrate a robust 43 percent year-over-year increase.

BioArctic, which discovered the monoclonal antibody, maintains a long-term development and commercialization partnership with Eisai. While Eisai manages global regulatory and commercial activities, BioArctic retains rights to market the drug in the Nordic region. The company is scheduled to release its full financial report for the second quarter on August 26, 2026.
