Aon reported a 5% increase in organic revenue for the second quarter of 2026, as the firm leveraged its "Aon United" strategy to capitalize on rising client demand. Despite a 3% decline in net income to $2.58 per diluted share, the company achieved a 9% rise in adjusted earnings per share.

The Dublin-based professional services firm generated $4.2 billion in total revenue, marking a 2% increase compared to the same period last year. This performance was driven by net new business and strong retention rates across its Risk Capital and Human Capital segments. Operating income rose 7% to $915 million, with an operating margin of 21.5%.

Management emphasized its commitment to shareholder returns, announcing $775 million in capital distributions during the quarter. This included $600 million in share repurchases, a move that pushes the company past its $1 billion annual goal for buybacks. CEO Greg Case credited the firm's "AI-enabled analytical insights" for differentiating its services as clients face increasingly complex market environments. Looking ahead, Aon reaffirmed its 2026 guidance, projecting mid-single-digit or greater organic revenue growth and continued expansion of adjusted operating margins.
