CB&I Wins Well Engineering Contract for Abu Dhabi Offshore Block 4

The project focuses on the development of Offshore Block 4, an area exclusively awarded to Cosmo during Abu Dhabi’s second competitive bidding round. CB&I’s local team in the UAE will oversee the campaign, integrating its global technical experience with regional operational requirements to meet safety and production standards.

John Pearson, Chief Operating Officer of CB&I Asset Solutions, noted that the UAE remains a critical growth market for the company’s service expansion strategy. Hisato Ishii, General Manager at Cosmo E&P Albahriya, cited the firm’s specialized expertise in well engineering as a primary factor in the selection, emphasizing a shared focus on safe and efficient execution for the upcoming exploration phase.
