By separating outcomes for U.S. MD and DO seniors from those of international medical graduates, the NRMP intends to offer a more nuanced look at how test scores, research, and individual applicant experiences influence success in the Main Residency Match.

Data integrity has also been bolstered through new partnerships with the USMLE and COMLEX-USA programs, allowing the NRMP to pull applicant score data directly from the source. To complement the static PDF reports, the organization has introduced interactive dashboards. These tools allow users to visualize trends across the past five match cycles, providing a clearer picture of the competitive landscape for residency positions.
