The 2026 list highlights a shifting landscape across the region, spanning 22 cities with 14 new entries and two re-entries. Bangkok maintains a dominant presence with eight bars on the list, including the debut of Lennon’s at No. 7 and a significant 31-place jump for Bar Sathorn at No. 17. Hong Kong follows with seven entries, securing notable accolades for Coa, Kinsman, and Mius, which took home the design award.
Regional excellence remains concentrated in established hubs, though emerging markets are gaining traction. Seoul’s Zest retained its position as the best bar in Korea for the third consecutive year, landing at No. 2 overall. In Vietnam, Workshop14 in Hanoi secured both the title for the country's best bar and the Best New Opening Award. Industry recognition also extended to individuals, with Jigger & Pony co-founder Indra Kantono receiving the Roku Industry Icon Award and Shelley Tai of Mius honored as the Bartenders' Bartender. The full list reflects a broader trend of hospitality resilience, with Smoke & Bitters in Sri Lanka earning the Art of Hospitality Award for its service standards.
