Roblox Investors Face August Deadline in Securities Class Action

Investors who purchased Roblox Corporation common stock between October 31, 2024, and April 30, 2026, now have until August 7, 2026, to file as lead plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit. The litigation centers on whether the company misled shareholders regarding the business impact of its new age-verification safety protocols.

Roblox Investors Face August Deadline in Securities Class Action

The legal action, spearheaded by the firm Hagens Berman, challenges Roblox's public disclosures concerning the safety of its platform for younger users. While management repeatedly touted safety as a "paramount" commitment, the lawsuit alleges that the company failed to accurately report the adverse business consequences of its age-check rollout, which began in November 2025.

Financial fallout from these disclosures was significant. On October 30, 2025, the company announced global age-verification mandates, triggering a 16% stock price drop that erased $13 billion in market value. By April 2026, the company reported a sharp deceleration in daily active user growth and slashed its annual revenue guidance. Roblox attributed these struggles to "continued friction" from the age-check process, noting that the system contributed to lower app store ratings and reduced organic sign-ups. Reed Kathrein, a partner at Hagens Berman, stated the firm is now investigating when management became aware of these consequences and whether they intentionally obscured the risks from investors.
