Luebbers arrives at Guardian following a 25-year career in the financial sector, most recently serving as Head of Sales at Jackson National Life. His experience spans a broad range of distribution channels, including wirehouses, independent firms, and registered investment advisors. In his new role, he is tasked with integrating Guardian’s existing retirement and annuity offerings into a more cohesive, growth-oriented model.

This appointment is part of a broader push by the New York-based mutual insurer to shift toward comprehensive, planning-led wealth management. The company recently rebranded its Park Avenue Securities unit to Park Avenue Wealth Management and has been aggressively recruiting senior leadership, including the May 2026 hiring of Nancy DeRusso as Head of Client Solutions. These initiatives are supported by a record $1.7 billion dividend allocation for 2026, signaling an intent to leverage its current financial position to capture a larger share of the retirement income market.
