NetAlly Deploys Expert Troubleshooting to Handheld Network Testers

Colorado Springs-based NetAlly is embedding three decades of troubleshooting data into its portable diagnostic tools. The new Ally Intelligence service provides field technicians with step-by-step resolution workflows, aiming to bypass costly escalations to senior engineering teams by turning raw test results into actionable, verified fixes on the spot.

NetAlly Deploys Expert Troubleshooting to Handheld Network Testers

The company’s latest update, available to active AllyCare Pro subscribers, shifts the burden of complex network resolution away from centralized operations centers. By integrating context-aware guidance directly into handheld testers like the EtherScope nXG and AirCheck G3, NetAlly allows junior technicians to address connectivity issues without requiring remote assistance or repeat site visits. CEO Jeff O'Mara noted the technology is designed to scale institutional expertise across distributed workforces, ensuring consistent performance regardless of an individual engineer’s experience level.

Alongside the new intelligence layer, NetAlly is expanding its security footprint by porting Nmap and Discovery Monitoring features across its wider product portfolio. Previously restricted to the specialized CyberScope hardware, these discovery tools now reach the LinkRunner AT 4000 and other core devices. This expansion provides teams with broader visibility into connected devices and unauthorized ports, allowing for immediate identification of security threats within the same workflow used for routine network maintenance.
