IntelliGenome Taps Yu Shing Bio-Tech to Roll Out CRISPR-TB in Taiwan

The partnership centers on a national multicenter clinical validation study, spearheaded by Dr. Jia-Yih Feng of Taipei Veterans General Hospital. By gathering local clinical evidence, the companies aim to secure approval from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration, positioning the CRISPR-based test as a primary tool for detecting active tuberculosis.

Yu Shing Bio-Tech will manage the commercialization process, acting as the bridge between IntelliGenome’s molecular technology and Taiwan’s clinical institutions. According to Finex Chiu, general manager at Yu Shing, the collaboration is designed to accelerate the adoption of blood-based diagnostics, moving beyond traditional testing methods to improve patient outcomes in the region.
