Futuri Launches AI Platform to Automate Newsroom Content Production

Broadcast newsrooms are facing a mounting pressure to increase digital output without expanding headcount, a challenge Austin-based Futuri aims to solve with its new Content Automation platform. Early adopters of the technology report slashing production times by 80% while simultaneously tripling their total digital content output.

Futuri Launches AI Platform to Automate Newsroom Content Production

The platform functions by ingesting raw materials—including live event footage, press conferences, and written releases—and converting them into finished assets. Within minutes, the system generates web articles complete with SEO metadata, social media posts, branded graphics, and multi-resolution video clips. According to the company, a standard 45-minute press conference that previously demanded over two hours of manual editing can now be processed into publishable segments in six minutes.

Chris Huneke, Vice President of Product at Futuri, notes that the technology is designed to remove the repetitive labor of formatting and metadata tagging from the journalist’s workflow. By integrating directly into existing systems like ENPS, iNews, and WordPress VIP, the platform allows news directors to maintain editorial control through role-based review processes. Beyond news organizations, Futuri is positioning the tool as a reseller offering for agencies and integrators looking to provide scalable production capabilities to their own clients.
