The company’s roadmap for global scale centers on four distinct phases, beginning with the export of inventory from mainland China through distribution nodes in Hong Kong and Dubai. ATRenew plans to eventually transition from a self-operated sourcing model to a broad platform ecosystem, utilizing automated quality inspection systems to bridge information gaps in international markets. These testing capabilities are slated for deployment in Miami, Dubai, and Hong Kong to ensure uniform grading standards for pre-owned goods.
Simultaneously, the new ReRe brand marks the company’s push into the consumer-facing sector. The first physical ReRe store, located at Citywalk in Tsuen Wan, offers a hybrid experience featuring AI-driven valuation machines and front-end inspection terminals. This retail footprint is complemented by a network of smart recycling kiosks developed in partnership with firms like Vendy and Joybuy. Kerry Xuefeng Chen, CEO of ATRenew, noted that Hong Kong’s position as a free port serves as the critical gateway for exporting the company’s standardized, technology-heavy approach to recycling to a global audience.
