Stranahan’s Releases Oldest Colorado Bottled-in-Bond Whiskey

Adhering to the strict standards of the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act, this release is distilled in a single season, aged in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at 100 proof. Head Blender Justin Aden noted that the mile-high climate plays a crucial role in the aging process, imparting a depth and refined character that distinguishes the whiskey from other American single malts. The flavor profile features notes of candied apple, pipe tobacco, and oiled leather, transitioning to a palate of dark chocolate, molasses, and charred oak.

This release aligns with the distillery’s "Colorado 150: The Pioneers" campaign, which celebrates the state's historical and modern trailblazers. Priced at $159.99, the whiskey will be available starting August 1 at the Denver Distillery, with national online availability following later this year. The launch serves as a bridge between the heritage of classic quality standards and the evolving category of American single malt, produced entirely from malted barley and Eldorado Spring water.
