The company’s shift centers on three specific pillars designed to standardize the fiber rollout process. Technicians are now required to adhere to a strict calendar commitment; if a scheduled installation window is missed, the company will apply a $20 credit to the customer’s initial invoice. Once on-site, staff must perform a verified setup, certifying that the connection is fully operational before finalizing the service.
Before concluding the visit, technicians are tasked with a mandatory signature walkthrough. This final step aims to bridge the knowledge gap for residential users, ensuring they understand their new equipment and connection status. Rui Costa, executive vice president of consumer products and customer experience, noted that the move is intended to remove the friction often associated with service activation. While the guarantee currently applies exclusively to residential fiber installs and remains subject to specific policy exclusions, the company views this as a vital step in differentiating its service model as it continues to expand its network across 20 states.
