Tradable Debuts Secondary Market Platform for Private Fund Liquidity

Private fund investors typically face years of waiting for capital returns, but a new platform from Chicago-based Tradable aims to accelerate that cycle. By providing software tools for structured, permissioned liquidity, the firm allows general partners to streamline exit processes while maintaining control over buyer selection and fund transparency.

Tradable Debuts Secondary Market Platform for Private Fund Liquidity

The platform functions as a SaaS solution that integrates directly into a fund’s existing operations. General partners can facilitate rolling liquidity by first offering stakes to their current investor base, a move designed to bypass the costly due diligence and lengthy consent periods that define traditional secondary transactions. When internal demand is exhausted, the system connects to Tradable’s broader marketplace, providing access to a vetted network of institutional buyers.

Alex Cordover, CEO of Tradable, noted that the technology addresses the tension between investor demand for clear liquidity paths and the manager’s need to minimize administrative friction. By digitizing the process, the firm provides fund managers with a repeatable framework to manage investor exit requests without disrupting existing relationships. The launch leverages Tradable’s established network of over 250 institutions, which currently represents more than $1 trillion in assets under management.
