Ericsson spends 796 million SEK on share buybacks

Between July 20 and July 24, 2026, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson repurchased 8,515,000 of its own Class B shares. The transactions, executed on Nasdaq Stockholm by Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, represent a total investment of 795,864,648.50 SEK as the telecommunications giant continues its ongoing buyback initiative.

The daily volume of repurchased shares saw a steady decline throughout the week, starting with 2,665,000 shares on July 20 at a weighted average price of 94.9989 SEK and tapering to 750,000 shares by July 24 at 91.2012 SEK. These acquisitions are part of a broader 15 billion SEK program announced in April 2026, scheduled to run until March 2027. Following these latest transactions, Ericsson now holds 87,669,316 Class B shares in its treasury.

The Board of Directors intends to propose the cancellation of the repurchased stock at the 2027 Annual General Meeting, excluding shares reserved for existing incentive programs. Ericsson currently maintains a total of 3,371,351,735 outstanding shares. The program adheres to the European Union's Market Abuse Regulation, ensuring all market activity is conducted within the specified legal framework for share repurchases.
