SeAH Aerospace & Defense Breaks Into Airbus Supply Chain

The contract covers critical materials for Airbus fuselages and wing structures, with production scheduled to begin in 2028. SeAH A&D will initiate the formal quality certification process in the second half of this year. By signing the agreement prior to final certification, the companies aim to bypass growing supply chain bottlenecks and ensure a stable flow of materials amid surging global aircraft demand.

This partnership follows a similar long-term deal with Boeing signed in late 2025, further establishing SeAH A&D as a major competitor in a sector previously dominated by U.S. and European firms. To support these commitments, the company is opening a new manufacturing facility in Changnyeong, Korea, in 2027. The plant will act as a primary production hub for customers across the Asia-Pacific region, including manufacturers in China, Japan, and India. SeAH A&D currently provides specialized 2000 and 7000 series aluminum alloys to clients such as Embraer and Israel Aerospace Industries, focusing on materials that balance structural strength with the lightweight requirements of modern commercial and military aircraft.
