The opening ceremony drew a high-level contingent of global officials and industry leaders, including Cuba's Minister of Communications Mayra Arevich Marín and Bangladesh's Minister of Posts, Telecommunication & Information Technology Faqir Mahbub Anam. Discussions moved quickly into a ministerial meeting followed by specialized sessions on AI agent innovation, e-commerce cooperation, and the digitalization of cultural heritage.

Beyond formal policy talks, the forum served as a platform for practical industry integration. Organizers released the World Internet Conference Cultural Heritage Digitalization Case Collection (2026) and hosted a series of capacity-building programs through the WIC Digital & AI Academy. Participants engaged in field studies at local digital ports and examined how copyright frameworks must adapt to support digital preservation efforts in partner countries along the Belt and Road.
