The partnership, officially titled Bee-Ball for All, kicked off on July 23 at Northridge Middle School in Charlotte. Hornets legend Muggsy Bogues joined executives from both organizations to host a youth basketball clinic, marking the start of a distribution effort that spans more than 200 Boys & Girls Club locations. The program is designed to extend the team’s reach beyond the arena, reinforcing its identity as the official team of the Carolinas.
Justin Rutledge, Charlotte Market President for First Horizon Bank, emphasized that the project focuses on youth development rather than simple equipment distribution. The effort complements the broader Impacting the Carolinas campaign, which the Hornets launched in 2025 to solidify their regional presence. By pairing athletic access with community engagement, the organization seeks to foster discipline and teamwork among youth in both states.
