Pia Aaltonen-Forsell to Lead Valmet Finance

Aaltonen-Forsell brings an extensive background in industrial finance, having previously served as CFO at Northvolt, Outokumpu, and Ahlström-Munksjö. Her career also includes financial leadership roles at Vacon and Stora Enso. Beyond her executive responsibilities, she currently serves on the Board of Directors at UPM-Kymmene Corporation, where she chairs the Audit Committee.

CEO Thomas Hinnerskov emphasized that her experience with global organizations will be instrumental in driving Valmet’s cost competitiveness and long-term value. She will succeed Katri Hokkanen, who announced her departure from the company earlier this year. Hokkanen is scheduled to vacate the role by the end of September 2026, creating a transition period before Aaltonen-Forsell assumes her new duties.
