ASSA ABLOY Expands Premium Hardware Portfolio With Classic Brass Deal

ASSA ABLOY has acquired Classic Brass, a Jamestown-based manufacturer specializing in high-end cabinet and door hardware. The move integrates the 80-person firm into the Swedish conglomerate's Americas Division, aiming to bolster its presence in the residential market by leveraging the company's reputation for handcrafted, made-to-order architectural solutions.

Founded in 1996, the New York-based manufacturer reported 2025 sales of approximately 17 million USD. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to earnings per share immediately, aligning with the group's broader strategy to expand its footprint in mature markets through targeted product additions.

Nico Delvaux, President and CEO of ASSA ABLOY, highlighted the acquisition as a step toward strengthening the company’s core business. Lucas Boselli, head of the Americas Division, noted that the integration will focus on preserving the brand's artisan heritage while scaling its reach among architects and designers. Classic Brass will operate under the group's residential business segment, continuing its focus on specialized, design-driven hardware.
