Penske Teamsters Secure Four-Year Contract Gains Across Three States

Two hundred and fifty Teamsters across Florida, Georgia, and Missouri have ratified new Southcentral and Southeastern regional agreements with Penske. The four-year deal secures a 15 percent general wage increase, bolstered 401(k) contributions, and an additional paid holiday while keeping health care costs stable for the first thirty months.

The ratification covers union members represented by Locals 79, 512, 528, 541, 618, and 769. Rocco Calo, Director of the Teamsters Industrial Trades Division, noted that the agreement serves as a benchmark for the company’s national workforce, signaling a shift in labor standards within the logistics sector. For many workers, the stability of healthcare costs remains a pivotal victory in the current economic climate.

While the regional master agreements passed, the bargaining process is not yet universal for all involved parties. Members of Local 618 rejected their specific local addendum, opting to return to the bargaining table this August to negotiate location-specific work rules and compensation. Despite this localized hurdle, the broader contract provides a framework for consistent pay growth and improved benefits for the vast majority of the 250 workers involved.
