AMFEC will maintain its manufacturing footprint in Caldwell, Idaho, where it produces mixing and conveying systems. The integration combines Seydelmann’s global experience in mechanical engineering and line integration with AMFEC’s localized production capabilities. According to AMFEC President Tom Weissenbuehler, the capital infusion creates a foundation for both firms to pursue growth in automated processing, moving beyond equipment sales to provide turnkey support from project planning to long-term maintenance.
Andreas Seydelmann, managing director of the German family-owned business, stated that the partnership allows the companies to offer a unified portfolio of semi-automated and fully automated lines. The collaboration leverages Seydelmann’s 183-year history in food processing machinery, which spans applications from meat and sausage production to pharmaceuticals and confectionery, alongside AMFEC’s specialized handling technology.
