Contour Airlines Launches Dominica to Trinidad Nonstop Route

The expansion marks a strategic move to bolster connectivity between the two islands, with flights scheduled to depart Dominica at 6:05 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. Return legs from Port of Spain are set for 8:30 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays. Beyond the nonstop route, the airline is introducing same-plane, one-stop service connecting Trinidad to San Juan and St. Thomas, aiming to streamline transit through the Piarco hub.

Contour Airlines President Ben Munson noted the service is designed to provide a faster, more reliable alternative for residents and visitors. Dominica’s Minister of Tourism, Denise Charles-Pemberton, emphasized the potential for cross-market tourism, specifically citing the strong overlap between Trinidad’s birdwatching community and Dominica’s rainforest-based ecotourism. The flights will be operated by the airline's ERJ-135 regional jet fleet, which features 30 leather-seated spots with additional legroom. Tickets are currently available through the carrier’s website and authorized travel agencies, with interline options available for connections via major carriers including American, United, and JetBlue.
