Tiryaki Agro Targets Port of Tadjourah Expansion in Djibouti

The partnership focuses on evaluating the technical and commercial feasibility of upgrading the port's infrastructure. Should subsequent studies and negotiations succeed, the project will expand storage capacity and improve the handling of bulk commodities. This collaboration creates a pathway for a long-term concession agreement, granting Tiryaki Agro a direct role in the future management and operation of the facility.

This initiative draws on early-stage advisory support from the International Finance Corporation, which facilitated the necessary planning and stakeholder engagement to reach this milestone. Süleyman Tiryakioğlu, CEO of Tiryaki Agro, noted that the agreement aligns with the company's long-term commitment to positioning Djibouti as a vital gateway between the Middle East, Africa, and global markets. By leveraging private sector-led growth, the parties seek to stabilize regional trade flows and drive sustainable economic development in the area.
