The new Solutions Center, located at the company’s Americas headquarters, functions as a fully integrated fulfillment environment. Visitors can observe end-to-end workflows featuring autonomous mobile robots, goods-to-person systems, and robotic piece picking. Mike Larsson, president of Dematic, noted that the facility was created to provide customers with the confidence needed to make major technology investments by allowing them to visualize complex operations before deployment.

Beyond its commercial utility, the center acts as an anchor for local industry innovation. Chris Steiner, senior vice president of product management, emphasized that centralizing robotics, AI-driven insights, and lifecycle services in Grand Rapids reinforces the region’s role in global logistics engineering. To support the local talent pipeline, Dematic also announced a $150,000 donation to FIRST, a nonprofit focused on STEM education. This contribution adds to the company’s ongoing commitment to workforce development, as the firm currently employs 1,500 people in the state.
