Under the agreement, Evogene will deploy its proprietary ChemPass AI platform to design and optimize chemical structures, while ELEO will apply its expertise in natural product pharmacology and target validation to refine the candidates. The companies intend to advance these molecules through preclinical development with an eye toward future licensing deals and partnerships with major pharmaceutical entities. Dr. Kyungseop Ahn, CEO of ELEO, noted that the integration of natural product insights with AI-driven design could provide a novel mechanism for treating atherosclerosis, while Evogene CEO Ofer Haviv emphasized the potential for creating differentiated therapeutic candidates in a high-stakes medical field.
