Sigma Foods Posts Record Second-Quarter Results Amid Regional Growth

Sigma Foods reported a robust second quarter for 2026, reaching record levels in volume, revenue, and comparable EBITDA. The multinational food producer posted a comparable EBITDA of US $296 million, keeping the company on track to meet its full-year guidance of US $1.1 billion despite shifting market dynamics.

Sigma Foods Posts Record Second-Quarter Results Amid Regional Growth

The company’s performance was anchored by exceptional results in Mexico, where volume rose 2% and revenue jumped 15%. This surge, supported by strong retail demand for dairy and packaged meat brands, helped offset more modest gains elsewhere. In Europe, the business achieved its highest second-quarter comparable EBITDA since 2021, a milestone attributed to successful turnaround efforts and progress on the Capacity Recovery Plan at the La Bureba facility.

Strategic expansion also defined the quarter. Sigma Foods finalized the acquisition of Roger Wood Foods, a move aimed at strengthening its presence in the U.S. smoked sausage market. CEO Rodrigo Fernández noted that this bolt-on acquisition complements organic growth initiatives, particularly within the dinner sausage category. With US $99 million invested in capital expenditures and a US $76 million dividend payment distributed to shareholders, the company maintains a disciplined approach to capital allocation while navigating its multi-regional operations.
