The system also offers guidance on form entry and provides a direct path to connect with live TaxAct experts if human intervention becomes necessary.
Noha Ghazouani, Vice President of Product Management at Taxwell, noted that the tool seeks to minimize friction by delivering trusted information at the precise moment a user needs it. This release follows the debut of the company’s SmartFile AI, marking a broader strategic push to embed automated assistance into the tax preparation workflow. The connector relies on the Model Context Protocol, a standard that allows AI assistants to securely interface with external applications and data repositories to improve the accuracy of their output.
