Lafayette Square Backs RM Capital Investment in Samaha & Associates

Miami-based consulting firm Samaha & Associates has secured a senior credit facility from Lafayette Square to fuel its next phase of growth. The investment supports RM Capital Partners’ platform acquisition of the firm, which specializes in guiding credit unions and banks through complex technology modernizations and system migrations.

Lafayette Square Backs RM Capital Investment in Samaha & Associates

Founded in 1998, Samaha & Associates has established a niche in the financial sector by managing core system conversions and vendor contract negotiations. Over nearly three decades, the company has completed more than 500 engagements for over 200 credit union clients, facilitating over $200 million in negotiated savings. The new capital infusion arrives as the credit union industry undergoes a significant technology transition, driving demand for the firm’s vendor-agnostic advisory services.

Blair Badham, Managing Director at Lafayette Square, pointed to the firm’s defensible market position and long-term client retention as primary drivers for the investment. RM Capital Partners, which has completed over $2 billion in M&A transactions, intends to leverage this partnership to scale Samaha’s operations into new market segments. Adam Denbo, who remains at the helm as President and CEO, stated that the additional financial backing will allow the firm to broaden its reach while maintaining its established boutique service model. As part of the arrangement, Lafayette Square will also provide access to its Worker Solutions platform, which assists portfolio companies in optimizing human capital practices and employee retention.
