Latham & Watkins Adds Jennifer Ying Lan to New York Capital Markets Team

Lan’s appointment follows a series of high-profile additions to the firm, including partners Byron Rooney, Dan Gibbons, and Bill Nelson. Her practice focuses on navigating intricate financing structures for issuers and underwriters across diverse sectors, ranging from biotechnology and pharmaceuticals to technology and financial services. She holds both a JD and an MBA from Duke University, as well as an undergraduate degree from Harvard.

Marc Jaffe, managing partner of the firm's New York office, highlighted Lan's technical expertise and judgment as key assets for the firm’s ongoing growth. Global co-chairs Stelios Saffos and Ian Schuman noted that her arrival aligns with the firm’s strategy to deliver comprehensive counsel across debt, hybrid capital, and liability management. Lan stated that she was drawn to the firm’s collaborative approach and its ability to guide clients through complex, market-shaping transactions.
