The donation drive mobilized staff across 11 hospital campuses in South Florida. Collected items ranging from blankets and hygiene kits to specialized medical supplies were turned over to a local logistics partner for immediate transport to the disaster zone. According to Shane Strum, who leads both organizations, the initiative highlights the capacity of these institutions to extend their mission beyond regional borders during times of humanitarian crisis.

This partnership represents a recurring collaborative model for the two systems, which collectively employ nearly 30,000 workers. Tim Curtin of Memorial Healthcare System noted that the speed of the response was fueled by a long-standing internal culture of disaster relief. By leveraging their extensive network of health centers and physician practices, the systems managed to consolidate a significant volume of aid that addresses the most urgent recovery needs of the affected Venezuelan communities.
