Medline Expands California Logistics Footprint with Perris Facility

A massive 1 million-square-foot distribution center in Perris, California, will anchor Medline’s latest supply chain expansion. The project, developed alongside IDI Logistics, arrives as the medical supplier works to bolster its regional capacity and restore service levels following a major fire at its Tracy warehouse last month.

Medline Expands California Logistics Footprint with Perris Facility

The Perris site serves as a cornerstone of Medline’s broader recovery strategy. By mid-2027, the company expects its total California warehouse footprint to reach nearly 5 million square feet, bolstered by this new facility and 1.6 million square feet of recently secured space in Northern California. Jim Eveland, Medline’s vice president of regional operations, stated the site provides necessary flexibility to support healthcare providers throughout the state.

Technologically, the center will integrate systems consistent with Medline’s existing national network. Beyond logistics, local officials view the move as a significant economic catalyst. Perris Mayor Michael Vargas noted that the facility brings new jobs to the community, while IDI Logistics senior vice president Charlie McPhee emphasized the strategic nature of the partnership. This investment positions the company to stabilize its distribution network after the June 11 incident impacted its Northern California operations.
