Eve Air Mobility Advances Global Certification for Eve 100 eVTOL

These dual developments mark a shift in Eve’s regulatory strategy, aiming to harmonize its certification requirements across Brazil, the United States, and Europe. By aligning with FAA guidance for powered-lift aircraft, the company seeks to build a consistent framework that will allow the Eve 100 to operate across multiple international jurisdictions. ANAC, the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency, has invited industry stakeholders to review the revised criteria, with a comment period running through August 18.

Since formally engaging ANAC in early 2022 and initiating FAA validation in 2023, Eve has pursued a synchronized global approach. CEO Johann Bordais noted that this technical collaboration is critical for bringing the eVTOL to market, emphasizing that the EASA application adds a vital layer to the existing certification program. ANAC Director-President Tiago Faierstein highlighted that Brazil views these advancements as a strategic priority, noting that the agency is simultaneously refining the infrastructure and airspace regulations necessary to integrate these aircraft into the broader civil aviation ecosystem.
