The merger integrates IFF’s diverse portfolio—ranging from plant-derived colors and antioxidants to clinically backed vitamins and minerals—into SuanNutra’s current infrastructure. This expansion grants the company a global manufacturing footprint, including specialized botanical extraction facilities in Spain, Slovenia, and Peru, alongside fermentation capabilities in the United States. Upon completion, the enlarged group will employ approximately 700 people and serve a client base of 1,200 customers across 60 countries.
This move aligns with SuanNutra’s "Visible Health" strategy, which emphasizes the shift from synthetic food additives to clean-label, natural alternatives. Anthony Weston, Group CEO of SuanNutra, noted that the integration of experienced personnel from the acquired businesses is critical to the group’s future growth. Yoni Glickman, Non-Executive Chairman, underscored that the industry is rapidly pivoting toward scientifically substantiated actives, a trend the company intends to lead. Carbyne Equity Partners, the private equity firm backing SuanNutra, views the acquisition as a cornerstone of its long-term investment strategy in specialty ingredients. HSF Kramer served as legal counsel for the transaction, with EY providing financial advisory services.
