A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Donelon brings nearly two decades of financial sector experience to the role. Her appointment aligns with a career defined by civic engagement, including previous leadership positions with the New Orleans Museum of Art, GNO, Inc., and the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Recognition for her professional and community contributions includes honors from Biz New Orleans and New Orleans CityBusiness.
In her new capacity, Donelon will function as the organization’s Chief Volunteer Officer, guiding the board’s strategic direction and fostering collaboration across standing committees. Michael Williamson, President and CEO of United Way of Southeast Louisiana, emphasized that her collaborative approach is essential for the organization’s goal of assisting 100,000 ALICE individuals and families on a path to prosperity by 2035. Donelon succeeds previous leadership in steering the nonprofit's ongoing efforts to improve health, education, and financial stability throughout the seven-parish region.
