Nordstrom Rack Expands New Jersey Footprint in Ramsey

The Interstate Shopping Center in Ramsey, New Jersey, will welcome a new 25,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack this fall. The expansion marks another step in the off-price retailer's strategy to bolster its presence in the state, where it already supports over 1,600 jobs across thirteen existing store locations.

Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack, stated that the company aims to deepen its ties to the Ramsey community by providing a mix of high-end brands at discounted prices. The upcoming store will integrate the chain's standard digital services, allowing local shoppers to pick up online orders from Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, alongside streamlined return processes.

The new storefront joins a established retail hub that currently hosts tenants such as ShopRite, Five Below, and Petco. Stephen Hittman, CEO of property manager Crossroads Companies, noted that the arrival of the off-price division aligns with the center’s goal of diversifying its tenant roster. The site is managed by Crossroads Companies through a joint venture with Wafra.

Nordstrom Rack currently operates nine locations in New Jersey, serving as the company’s primary engine for attracting new customers. By offering up to 70% off current fashion, beauty, and home goods, the retailer continues to prioritize physical expansion as a complement to its digital sales platforms.
