The vehicle is set for its official presentation on July 21, 2026. By integrating solar technology into emergency response, the team provides a functional alternative for remote areas where traditional fuel supplies are unreliable. This project leverages the group's history of success, including four consecutive wins in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge and the development of the Stella Terra off-road vehicle.
Technical & Event Manager Steven Swinkels noted that the project relies on collaboration with specialized partners to ensure the hardware is ready for harsh conditions. The team is integrating critical components, such as Wilwood braking and vehicle-control systems supplied by the Dutch firm Tuningsupply, to ensure the ambulance can handle challenging terrain. Starting in August 2026, the team will begin field tests alongside humanitarian NGOs. These trials aim to prove that the platform can sustain patient care and operate high-demand medical devices in locations inaccessible to conventional emergency fleets.
