Dr. Lynn Welch Establishes Scholarship Program for U.S. Veterans

Dr. Welch, a physician practicing on Hawaii’s Big Island since 2008, established the program to honor the dedication of those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in accredited U.S. colleges or universities who maintain good academic standing.

Candidates must submit an original essay of 500 to 800 words detailing how their military background has shaped their academic trajectory and professional aspirations. The application process requires proof of veteran status and current undergraduate enrollment, submitted via email to scholarship@sglabs.com. The deadline for all submissions is March 15, 2027, with the recipient scheduled to be announced on April 15, 2027.
