The expansion follows a period of aggressive growth for the organization, which has opened three new stores over the past year. By revitalizing existing sites and securing new leases, Goodwill aims to meet the surging consumer interest in secondhand goods while simultaneously diverting waste from regional landfills. The Reisterstown Road site will operate Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with Sunday hours running from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Lisa Rusyniak, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, described the new store as a community investment that fuels the organization's social mission. Revenue from the retail network directly finances job training, career coaching, and the Baltimore Excel Center, an adult high school program offering tuition-free diplomas and on-site childcare. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature remarks from leadership and invite public participation as the organization continues to scale its operations across the region.
