BIOTRONIK Neuro Acquires Soin Neuroscience Spinal Cord Stimulation IP

The transaction follows a collaborative research initiative launched in December 2025, during which the two companies evaluated novel stimulation tuning approaches for the Prospera SCS System. By integrating Soin Neuroscience's patents—which emphasize adaptive programming and artificial intelligence—BIOTRONIK Neuro aims to enhance the precision of its existing technology platform. Dr. Amol Soin, the physician and founder of Soin Neuroscience, noted that the partnership allows his team’s research to reach patients at a global scale through BIOTRONIK’s established engineering infrastructure.

While this acquisition bolsters BIOTRONIK Neuro’s capabilities, Soin Neuroscience will maintain its status as an independent entity, continuing its research and clinical operations in Ohio. Andreas Gute, President of BIOTRONIK Neuro, described the move as a natural progression of the firms’ relationship, aimed at advancing neuromodulation science.
