The recruitment drive provides more than just job openings; participating PX and BX locations will offer resume workshops and skills translation sessions in the days preceding the event. These resources are designed to help applicants map their military experience to civilian roles within the Department of War's largest retailer. Military spouses are also encouraged to attend.

Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Rich Martinez, the Exchange's senior enlisted advisor, stated that hiring veterans remains a core priority for the organization, noting that former service members currently comprise roughly 10% of the total workforce. Recruits gain access to competitive benefits, including medical insurance and the ability to apply their military service time toward retirement eligibility. The Exchange continues to hold high rankings for its workplace culture, recently securing a 5-Star Employer designation from VETS Indexes and a 12-year streak as a 'Best for Vets' employer by Military Times.
