After eighteen years at the helm, Martus Solutions founder Bill Cox is transitioning to the role of Chair Emeritus, handing executive leadership to Taylor Macdonald. Taylor Macdonald Named CEO of Martus Solutions as Founder Steps Down

Macdonald, who previously served as chief revenue officer since 2024, assumes the CEO position with a mandate to scale the company’s AI-enabled financial tools. His background includes a decade leading partner channels at Sage Intacct and running Macdonald Consulting Group, a former top-ranked Sage partner. He has appeared on Accounting Today’s list of the 100 most influential people in the industry 17 times.

Cox founded the company in 2008 to address specific budgeting gaps for nonprofits. Under his tenure, the platform evolved from a niche tool for local churches into a comprehensive financial planning suite integrated with major ERP systems like QuickBooks and Microsoft Business Central. The firm currently manages more than $40 billion in client budgets. In his new advisory capacity, Cox will provide guidance to the leadership team while shifting away from daily operational management.
